A narrative description of a recent trip to the People's Republic of China with 15 colleagues from Canada. Three basic goals of the delegation: to improve the relationships between the health workers of the two countries; to see at first-hand a broad cross-section of health care delivery in China; to initiate negotiations for the long-term exchange of medical scientists and teachers. The success of the mission.
